Founded in 1946 by the Brothers of Holy Cross, Gilmour is an independent, Catholic, coed, college-preparatory school offering a Montessori (18 months - Kindergarten) program and a Lower School, Middle School and Upper School. Located on 144 acres in Gates Mills, Ohio, Gilmour has a total enrollment of 700 students, which includes young men and women in Montessori through grade 12, and a limited number of postgraduate students each year. Resident students compose 16 percent of our Upper School student body and represent 14 states and 8 foreign countries. Gilmour admits students of any race, color, religion, gender, and national and ethnic origin.

If I were to describe Gilmour, the environment is friendly. The pleasant and welcoming atmosphere makes me feel safe. Gilmour is full of fun, understanding, and a sense of belonging to a big family.
