Trường Westminster School for Young Children

The Westminster Preschool, formerly known as Westminster Kindergarten was founded in 1946 as a ministry of the Westminster Presbyterian Church. What began as the first Protestant preschool in Nashville, has blossomed into an established reputable preschool for children ages 3,4, and 5. The Westminster Preschool has the distinguished honor of being one of the first preschools to be nationally accredited. The school is currently undergoing re-accreditation under the National Association for Young Children's new guidelines. The preschool years are important for what a child needs now, and they serve as a preparation for kindergarten or first grade only to the degree that any experience supports a later one. It is found that children who have good learning experiences in the early years are more ready for learning the skill subjects. In the Westminster Weekday Kindergarten, we strive to develop a person who will later become a child enrolled in kindergarten or first grade.
