Founded in 1906, Madeira is a girls school by design, where every aspect of academic, social, and athletic life is directed toward educating young women. Madeira's innovative Co-Curriculum Program integrates an experiential learning program with the cultural, political, and business life of the nation's capital into each girl's weekly schedule. The 376-acre campus, which overlooks the Potomac River, is just 12 miles from Washington, D.C.
