School Overview

The School for Young Performers is a New York State registered private school. Founded in 1995, SYP was originally designed to meet the needs of students balancing an academic education with careers in the performing arts. Over the years, however, its student body has evolved to include students pursuing disciplines other than those in the performing arts, as well as students who prefer a more personalized and flexible education. A "school without walls," reminiscent of the private tuition of children of upper class families in past centuries, SYP is able to bring its college-preparatory academic program directly to its students at home, at work, or while traveling. The School for Young Performers is proud to offer the best education to its students—anywhere.
