Childhood is a time of learning and growth. The Raymond Hill School's tapestry of programs brings the joy of discovery to children of all ages. The people we serve Elementary, middle school, and high school students. Students in need of specialized services, delivered in an environment of safety and caring. Students of all races and ethnic backgrounds. Both day and residential students. Parents of our students. The Raymond Hill School curriculum is certified by the Connecticut Department of Education. Our teachers are fully certified in their subject areas. Teachers receive support from para-professionals to assure a safe, nurturing environment. Students take traditional academic subjects, but also receive pre-vocational and vocational training. Students take classes in music, art, and physical education, and have access to a state-of-the-art computer lab. Elementary and middle-school students learn essential "living" skills and how to work in teams. Elementary students learn practical skills in our Maritime Center and "Biscuiteer" business. Middle-school students can sample what it's like to work in food service, in a nail/hair spa, in our caf, or in our boatbuilding/woodworking shop. High-school students have additional opportunities to work in our school store and our City Spa. Group therapy is an integral part of the program.
