School Overview

Founded in 1884, The Academy of the Holy Names is a Catholic school with a college-preparatory program for girls in kindergarten through grade 12 and a coeducational pre-kindergarten. Each of our divisions, the Lower, Middle, and Upper Schools, is unique in its ability to provide excellent academic and enrichment opportunities within a positive and caring environment. Small classes, a challenging course of studies that includes A.P. classes, science research program, extensive extra-curricular activities, a religious development program that reinforces the Christian foundation of respect and services to others, and a college guidance program help to enhance Holy Names commitment in preparing young women for the future.
