Chelan Valley Independent School (CVIS) provides an environment that encourages and guides children to become life-long learners. We offer hands-on learning for preschool through sixth grade. At CVIS, our students join a community led by a faculty committed to teaching the "whole" child, guiding each student toward physical, intellectual, artistic, emotional and social growth. We provide an environment that encourages and guides children to become lifelong learners. Our teachers and staff care about the whole child; teach children how to learn; help children imagine the possibilities; and view the arts as an integral component of our education. Our goals are to foster a joy of learning; to promote critical thinking skills; to build self-confidence; to develop a sense of responsibility; to provide knowledge and skills needed to act effectively in modern society; and to encourage sensitivity toward other peoples and their cultures.
