Centrally located in downtown Bethesda, MD, Washington Episcopal School (WES) is an indpendent, coeducational school for a diverse body of 300 students in Nursery through Grade 8.
Founded in 1986, WES is dedicated to advancing the natural progress of academic, artistic, spritual and physical development through a challenging, traditional curriculum. WES faculty employs well-researched, interactive and enjoyable teaching approaches to inspire students to seek knowledge confidently and to develop intellectual curiosity, critical thinking and wisdom. Curriculum-based study trips to Utah, Italy, Spain and France for students in Grades 6 through 8 are included in tuition. WES maintains that children learn best in a happy and stress-free environment.
Drawing on its Episcopal roots, WES values priciples of tolerance, faith, and respect for others in all aspects of school life.
