St. Mary Of The Lake School

St. Mary of the Lake School is a vibrant Pre-K through Grade 8 Catholic school located in Hamburg. Catholic education at St. Mary of the Lake School is a Christ-centered process through which each student learns his/her unique value as a member of the school and parish family. As a Christian community, we recognize our responsibility to educate the complete person spiritually, physically, and emotionally in an atmosphere of caring and respect for each individual. With this vision in mind, we, the members of this parish-school community, dedicate ourselves to fostering and nurturing the following principles: to teach by example that our lives should be a reflection of what we believe in our Faith, thereby fostering a caring and loving community committed to the principle of respecting all life and providing service to others; to instill within students a sense of wonder and appreciation of the beauty of creation and to help them learn to accept their individual responsibility to function and grow in this world; to develop individuals who will recognize the needs of their community and accept the challenge to make a positive difference in that community; to give students the skills needed to recognize, develop and share the gifts given them by God and to help them realize their importance to those around them; and to provide an academic environment that nurtures intellectual curiosity, encouraging each student to strive for excellence and to achieve his/her personal best.
