Our familiar red brick school became a reality due to the early dedicated parishoners who wanted a center of learning in a Christian atmosphere. The first record of formal teaching may be attributed to Anna E. Herr and Ellen Dalton, Catholic Instruction League teachers. They began catechism classes with a small group of children in 1921. As an integral part of St. Alexander Parish, St. Alexander Catholic School is dedicated to providing a Catholic education grounded in the Gospel message, in academic excellence and in the dignity of each individual.
