Covington Latin School, founded in 1923 by Bishop Francis Howard to serve the Roman Catholic Diocese of Covington, is a coeducational, college preparatory day school with five forms; 8 through 12 (a preparatory year and years 9 through 12 [forms 1-4]). The School’s unique accelerated program is designed to provide academically motivated students the opportunity to begin secondary school after completing the fifth, sixth or seventh grade. Incoming Latin School students accelerate one to two years as a condition of admission, and thereby graduate one to two years earlier than their peers in traditional 9-12 schools.
