The Community United Methodist School was established in 1984. We accept children of all racial, ethnic and religious backgrounds. The pre-school is licensed by the State of California Department of Social Services. Kindergarten "Stepping Stones" program is offered to give kindergarten eligible children an extra year to encourage developmental readiness before entering kindergarten. Developmental readiness includes a child's physical, social and emotional growth. Lead teachers in our Jr. Kindergarten hold teaching credentials and are experienced, loving individuals who are outstanding role models for their students. A staff of experienced teachers provide a warm, loving environment, which creates an opportunity for children and their families from all backgrounds and heritage to share in developmentally appropriate learning experiences. We nurture physical, emotional, social and intellectual growth, which in turn encourages positive self-esteem, independence, a sense of responsibility. Respect for themselves, others, and their environment is fostered. Christian values are modeled by our teaching staff of Early Childhood professionals.
