Bishop McDowell Regional School, a Catholic parish elementary school, provides an academic, spiritual, and socially responsible education to children from preschool through grade eight based on curriculum established by the Diocese of Pittsburgh and the State of Pennsylvania. Bishop McDowell's staff is committed to encouraging the overall growth of every child through conscientious preparation and enthusiastic, patient teaching in a safe, nurturing environment. Students are encouraged to use curiosity, discovery, and creativity to achieve realistic, yet challenging academic, spiritual, and personal goals. Bishop McDowell strives to raise children's awareness of the needs and concerns of the local community and the global community through encouraging personal charitable deeds and witnessing to the Gospel of Jesus Christ in their daily lives.
