At The Aptos Academy, we believe that every child has a strong natural desire to learn, and the right to exercise that desire. We introduce the child to a proper study technology and encourage good study habits. We believe that the child's desire to learn must not be suppressed or smothered by incompetent teaching, a distractive study atmosphere, or duress. We believe that each child is a unique individual and should be able to proceed at a pace suited to his or her own abilities, talents, and interests; and each child needs to develop the ability to observe, think, and express his or her thoughts clearly. It is our school's responsibility to observe, measure, and recognize students' achievements, and maintain a positive environment for learning.
