Apple Valley Montessori School is an independent, co-educational, day school in Sudbury, Massachusetts serving children ages 18 months to 12 years. Founded in 1983, AVMS currently enrolls 85 students. Programs at AVMS are based on the philosophy and work of Maria Montessori. By nurturing the development of the whole child's readiness, interests, and learning style, the education at AVMS fosters each child's positive self-image, problem-solving skills and ability to make choices in an academically challenging environment. AMVS meets the standards for Association Montessori International (AMI) and Massacusetts EEC standards for licensing.
